The designated operator of Kuwait, Kuwait Post, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that the Government of Kuwait has decided to extend the state of emergency until 1 June 2020 and to implement additional reinforcement measures intended to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
As a result, Kuwait Post is currently unable to meet its contractual obligations, particularly with regard to the acceptance and delivery of all types of mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items) and the tracking of shipments (capture and transmission times).
Therefore, the situation of force majeure
declared previously is to be extended until 1 June 2020.
Kuwait Post thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding.
